Home and Contents insurance, is the type of property insurance that covers private homes. It is an insurance policy that combines various personal insurance protections, which can include losses occurring to one's home, its contents, loss of its use (additional living expenses), or loss of other personal possessions of the homeowner, as well as liability insurance for accidents that may happen at the home.

Home Insurance covers loss or damage to contents in your home caused by water escaping from washing machines, dishwashers and water installations.

It also covers for accidental damage to TV, video, audio, satellite receiving equipment and computer equipment.  Also, damage to furniture and clothing can be covered by this type of insurance.
